Ravensbrück’s Female Prisoners
Ravensbrück Memorial Site
The focus of the “Ravensbrück’s Female Prisoners” exhibition which is located on the first floor of the former commandant headquarters, is the women imprisoned in Ravensbrück who were deported to the Women’s Concentration Camp by the National Socialists from all over Europe. The fates of 27 representative prisoners are presented to serve as examples of the different national, political, religious, and social origins of the more than 130,000 women imprisoned in Ravensbrück.
